About the event

Digital Storytelling for Critical Hope During Divisive Times with Patricia Jagger, PH'D

This session draws on my doctoral research, which began with an exploration of digital storytelling as a feminist pedagogy and concluded with an understanding of how digital stories can cultivate shared understandings in divisive times. We will begin with a short outline of my research journey, including my findings on the potential for digital stories to offer spaces of critical hope - which, unlike a naïve or passive hope, is unwilling to accept the status quo. Participants will then be invited to engage in a short writing activity to explore where they find hope and connection in their own lives.
